Our Origins

The idea of establishing an Irish Sea Centre on the Isle of Man, to serve all beneficiaries of the Irish Sea ecosystem was proposed by Drs. Roger Pullin and Andy Brand in 2008 and revived during discussions at the Manx Wildlife Trust’s 2017 Festival of the Sea in Port Erin.

The Irish Sea Centre Limited was incorporated on the Isle of Man in July 2018, as a Company Limited by Guarantee, Charity No. 1257, with Drs. Roger Pullin and Terry Holt as founding Directors.

Our Future

Planning Phase

The Irish Sea Centre will undertake a Planning Phase to produce a Business Plan and to review and make recommendations for the development of its activities and services.

During its Planning Phase and thereafter, the Irish Sea Centre will develop its core programme, partnerships, networking and projects all around the Irish Sea ecosystem.

The Irish Sea Centre’s future will depend upon securing adequate financial support. Details about how to support the Irish Sea Centre’s Planning Phase and the development of its core programme, partnerships, networking and projects are available on request.
